Keep them safe. Keep them in school.
WorldTots LA YWCA Child Development Center
Provides a safe environment where children have the freedom to experiment, question, and deal with their intellectual curiosity at their own pace. Our programs are aligned with the curriculum set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children standards. We provide carefully planned opportunities for observing, experimenting, talking, and listening, which serves to widen our students’ horizons.
Children are encouraged to develop inquiring minds, sharpen their curiosity and extend their awareness of the world through direct experiences that are relevant to their personal developmental stage. Our teachers provide guidance and tools of learning so the child can set the pace and direction.
The creative curriculum also encourages each child to identify with their own culture and respect the diversity around them under the following principles:
- The under standing of one’s own strengths, challenges and preferences.
- The significance of a child’s self-confidence.
We promote open communication between home and school, a partnership in learning. Above all, the YWCA child care programs are committed to providing a safe, quality and nurturing environment for children and parents.
