The YWCA Harbor Area Workforce Development Program is dedicated to empowering underserved community members—especially youth and adults from Wilmington and surrounding areas—by equipping them with the skills and tools needed to thrive in today’s workforce. Our initiative, Empowerment through Stability, ensures that participants gain job readiness, technical training, and essential life skills. By removing financial barriers and offering a supportive environment, we create opportunities for individuals to secure stable employment and work toward long-term independence. All we ask in return is commitment, focus, and a willingness to invest in one’s own future.
