YWCA Harbor Area Chosen as California Non-Profit of the Year
The YWCA Harbor Area is honored to announce it has been selected as a 2025 California Nonprofit of the Year by State Assemblymember Mike Gipson (D-Los Angeles).
“We are deeply humbled to be recognized by Assemblymember Gipson as a 2025 Nonprofit of the Year,” said Sonia Bailey, Executive Director of the YWCA Harbor Area.
“Even though we work closely with his office on initiatives around homelessness, food distribution, human trafficking, and job training, this recognition still came as a surprise.We are deeply grateful for this honor.”
“This recognition gives an enormous boost to our campaign to raise the funds and build public support needed for this vital project,” Bailey concluded.
“We are grateful for Assemblymember Gipson’s courage, leadership, and steadfast support of the YWCA Harbor Area and our programs.”
